About Top Tech Choices
We help you find the best tech without spending your weekend reading reviews.
The short version
Finding a good laptop shouldn't require a PhD in spec sheets. Same goes for cameras, tablets, and lenses. We built Top Tech Choices because we were tired of the "research process" — reading 15 reviews that all say different things, comparing specs across 30 browser tabs, and still not knowing which product to actually buy.
So we built a system that does the research for you. It pulls in specs, pricing, and availability data, scores everything using the same criteria, and tells you what's actually worth your money. No guesswork, no vibes — just data.
How it actually works
We gather the data
Our systems pull in specs, pricing, and availability from manufacturers and retailers. Hundreds of products, updated continuously. No manual spreadsheets (anymore).
The algorithm scores everything
Every product gets scored on performance, value, build quality, and category-specific stuff. Same criteria, every time. No product gets a bump because someone paid us.
We write real reviews
Top-ranked products get detailed reviews — performance breakdowns, pros and cons, price comparisons. The stuff you actually need to make a decision.
It stays up to date
New product drops? Price change? We catch it. Recommendations that were accurate six months ago but aren't now don't help anyone.
The money part (being upfront)
We make money through affiliate links. When you click a product link and buy something from Amazon, Best Buy, B&H Photo, or other retailers, we get a small commission. It doesn't cost you anything extra.
Here's the important bit: affiliate commissions don't affect our rankings. The algorithm scores products the same way regardless of whether we'd earn $0 or $50 from a purchase. We regularly recommend products with zero affiliate payout because they're genuinely the best option. Our recommendations are only useful if you trust them, and we'd rather lose a commission than lose that.
We also work with manufacturers like Lenovo, Asus, HP, and others who share product data with us. They don't get a say in scores or rankings — they just help us evaluate their products more thoroughly. More details in our affiliate disclosure.
Small team, real opinions
Top Tech Choices is run by Ammori Solutions, a small operation based in Canada. Two people. No VC funding, no corporate parent company, no "growth team" optimizing for engagement metrics.
We've been building this since 2024 — first with manual data entry (painful), now with an automated pipeline that finds, scores, and reviews products without us hand-picking winners. It's a better system, and it means our recommendations actually scale without compromising on honesty.
Questions? Ideas? Something broken? We actually read our messages.
