The ASUS Vivobook S14 is a Copilot+ PC that's all about the essentials done really well. It's got a killer screen, a surprisingly powerful AMD chip, and it's incredibly light. But it's not trying to be everything to everyone, and that's okay.

Let's be clear: this is not a gaming laptop. That 18th percentile GPU ranking means the integrated Radeon 880M is fine for Netflix and light photo editing, but that's it. Where it shines is everything else. The AMD 365 CPU is in the 99th percentile, so it's stupid fast for daily tasks, coding, and even some light video work. Pair that with 24GB of RAM, and you've got a machine that just doesn't slow down. The 75Wh battery is solid, and that 120Hz OLED screen is gorgeous.

The price swings wildly from $928 to $1250. At the low end, this is a fantastic deal for the screen and performance you get. At the high end, you're paying a premium for portability and that OLED panel. Shop around, because that $322 difference is huge. If you can snag it near $950, it's a steal.

Compared to a MacBook Pro, you're getting a better screen and more ports for less money, but you lose out on battery life and that seamless Apple ecosystem. Next to a Lenovo Legion or MSI Vector, this Vivobook can't game at all, but it's half the weight and way more portable. The real head-to-head is with the ASUS Zenbook Duo. The Duo offers that wild dual-screen setup for multitasking, but the standard Vivobook S14 is simpler, lighter, and often cheaper. Choose your adventure.

Buy this if you're a student or professional who needs a fast, ultra-portable daily driver with a best-in-class screen. Don't buy it if you want to play modern games or need tons of built-in storage. It's a specialist, and a very good one.
